Empowering Widows, Uplifting Communities.

Mary and Agnes Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to supporting widows and vulnerable women through financial empowerment, education, and community support in Nigeria

Who we are

Mary and Agnes Foundation was born from a simple belief: every widow deserves dignity, opportunity, and community. Since our founding, we have walked alongside hundreds of women in Nigeria, providing the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives and lift their families out of poverty.

What We Do

Together, we can make a real impact in communities around the world. Help us bring hope and support.

Financial Empowerment

We provide microloans, business training, and savings programs that help widows start small businesses and achieve financial independence.

Education & Skills Training

From literacy programs to vocational skills like tailoring and soap-making, we equip women with practical abilities that generate income.

Community Support

We create networks of support through counseling, health assistance, and community groups where widows find friendship and solidarity.
We envision a society where widows and widowers can thrive with dignity, build sustainable futures, and inspire change in their families and communities.

Stories of Hope

Hear from people directly impacted by our work.

Program Beneficiary, Enugu State

When my husband died, I thought my life was over. I had four children and no way to feed them. Mary and Agnes Foundation gave me a small loan to start selling provisions. Today, I own a shop and my children are all in school. They gave me more than money – they gave me hope.
— Mrs. Adaeze Okonkwo,

Program Beneficiary, Delta State

My husband was sick for two years before he passed. We spent everything on hospital bills. When he died, I had seven children and two hundred naira to my name. The Foundation gave me a loan to buy a freezer and start selling fish. Three years later, I have paid back the loan, I employ two people, and I am building a house. A real house, with blocks, for my children. God used this Foundation to rewrite my story.
— Mrs. Onovo Chidinma

Program Beneficiary, Anambra State

The loneliness was the hardest part. After he died, I would go days without speaking to another adult. The Foundation connected me with other widows – women who understood my pain without me saying a word. We meet every week now. We pray together, we laugh together, we do business together. I lost a husband, but I gained fifty sisters.”
— Mrs. Grace
